Eventflow vs LiveBuzz Manual & Marketplace

LiveBuzz Manual & Marketplace, formerly Exhibition Architect, is a long-established exhibitor-manual product within a wider event-tech suite. Eventflow was built more recently around a different idea: give event teams direct control over participant operations and make the experience feel as modern as the rest of the event. If speed, self-service and flexibility matter, Eventflow is the stronger fit.

A modern workflow should be easy to change, not just feature-rich

LiveBuzz supports native forms, tasks and completion tracking. The difference is less about whether those features exist and more about how easily the event team can shape them. Based on our experience of working with organisers who had used Exhibition Architect, the operations team described dozens of situations where they could not make changes themselves and had to go through the LiveBuzz team.

Eventflow is designed to put that control back with event teams. Build and edit forms yourself, change content, move deadlines, add tasks and update participant journeys without waiting for us.

If a specialist tool such as Airtable, Microsoft Forms, SmartSheet, GES or another supplier is still the right place for a process, embed or link it instead of rebuilding it. The aim is not to own every system; it is to give the participant one clear journey and the organiser one operational layer to manage it.

Marketplace revenue is useful — until it gets in the way of the participant experience

LiveBuzz’s Manual & Marketplace documentation gives organisers a multi-supplier basket, Stripe connections and commission options. That can be valuable if commerce is a strategic priority. But it changes the economics of the participant journey. One large organiser using the platform told us its marketplace setup could leave customers paying around 8–8.5% more before any organiser commission was added, and explicitly said it did not want to use the marketplace for that reason. That is organiser-reported experience rather than a universal LiveBuzz tariff, but it is exactly the kind of commercial question worth testing.

Keep the systems that work.
Replace the participant experience that does not.

LiveBuzz’s strength is that the manual can sit close to its registration and exhibitor-services offering. That can make sense when you want one supplier to provide the stack.

Eventflow takes the opposite approach. It sits across the systems you have already chosen, gives participants a consistent branded experience that reflects your event, and uses built-in AI to answer questions from the content already in that journey. Registration, CRM, supplier systems and specialist tools can stay where they are.

LiveBuzz positions the product within its wider exhibitor and registration services. Eventflow lists integrations including LiveBuzz, Cvent, Visit and HubSpot, and can embed unique registration links when a full API integration is unnecessary. You do not need to rip out LiveBuzz registration to modernise the manual. That is exactly how we are working with organisers that want a better participant journey without starting a wholesale technology replacement project.

Why Eventflow is the better fit for modern participant operations

Choose LiveBuzz if you want your manual, registration services and optional marketplace tightly connected within the same supplier ecosystem. Choose Eventflow if you want your operations team to own the participant journey directly, with modern forms, tailored audiences, native AI, full white-labelling and the freedom to keep specialist systems where they already work.

The difference becomes obvious in the busy weeks before an event. When information changes, can your team fix it immediately? When an exhibitor asks a question, can the system answer it? When another supplier owns part of the process, can you surface it cleanly without rebuilding everything? That is the operating model Eventflow is built around.
